Introducing our 2016/17 Playwrights In Residence

delinquent_cards_print_bleedWe are pleased to announce the 2016/2017 Delinquent Theatre Playwrights in Residence.  We read applications from fascinating writers from all over the province, and were inspired by the depth and complexity of the submissions.  After deliberation, we are excited to support Arggy Jenati,  Adele Noronha, and Lisa C. Ravensbergen:

ARGGY JENATI: Arggy Jenati is an actress and writer based in Vancouver. She is an Actors Centre (London, UK) alumni and has been working professionally in the Vancouver Film/TV and Theater community. Recent Credits include Girlfriend’s Guide To Divorce (Bravo), Samuel (Short), and Buy Me Dinner First (Vancouver Fringe Festival). She has a passion for sketch comedy and improvisation. This is her first time working Delinquent Theatre and she is thrilled!

ADELE NORONHA: Born and raised in India, Adele immigrated to Canada at the age of eleven. She is a graduate of Studio 58 and is a Vancouver-based theatre artist. This fall, Adele will be appearing in Walt Whitman’s Secret (frank theatre) and Anusree Roy’s Brothel #9 (Touchstone Theatre). A lover of words, Adele is excited to finally put down some of her own.

LISA C. RAVENSBERGEN:  A tawny mix of Ojibwe/ Swampy Cree and English/ Irish, Lisa lives on unceded Coast Salish territory, working as a multi-hypenate theatre artist, writer, and Jessie-nominated actor. She supplements her eclectic performance and interdisciplinary playmaking practice with the joys of motherhood and the delights of self-produced works.

The 2016/17 Delinquent Theatre Playwrights in Residence will debut their plays in a staged reading in March 2017.
